What an amazing episode! I learned so much about Día de los Muertos and it was awesome for the team to have George Lopez as our star guest on the show as Mr Posada!

I was tasked primarily with designing the many layers of decorated ofrendas and items that would be used interchangeably by the team throughout the episode. The colors were done by the amazing BG Paint team. Check them out bellow!

Concept for a theatrical stage production showcasing Fox’s Rio. The idea was to find a way of how to bring the animated animals from the movie Rio to life in a way that could be for live entertainment. Definitely a challenge! I came up with this tho, and aerial acrobatic show showcasing the “flight” of the birds. The colors also play a huge part in this giving the idea of high energy circus like feels which also play off of The Carnival in Rio de Janeiro as well as the many tropical birds found there as well as in the movie.

Included as well is some of this idea’s development.

Concept for a theatrical stage production of Laika Studios’s Coraline. Had a lot of fun working on this.

The riders of old had an island where they based, Vroengard. This was my inital stab at what that place might look like. IT had to look somewhat ancient with a flair of the fantastical. This was a place where humans and dragons lived together as one.

My submission for LilyPichu’s Art Contest. Normally I dont participate in such events, but this one looked fun and I am a fan of OfflineTV! Was a bit tight on time, but overall I’m happy at the moment with the result. I placed in the top 20 out of close to 1000 entries and was listed as an honorable mention! Thank you Lily for hosting the contest.

The lone tower which served as an outpost for the riders. This place is significant as it is the place where Vrael, leader of the riders was slain by the mad king Galbatorix during Galbatorix’s uprising.

It was may the 4th, but I was looking forward to the Revenge of the 5th!

Starwars day love. I always loved Iain McCaig’s Ventress concepts from the Starwars art books. So I painted my own version of Ventress while referencing Iain’s.
